Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
At times we feel uncertain about the future. Life can be unclear and we often find ourselves hesitant to more forward.
It's full of situations we cannot understand which makes it difficult to make decisions.
But these verses remind us that it's not about understanding but rather accepting. Accepting that God will direct our paths no matter what we do.Ā
When we lean on the gospel, all our paths lead back to Jesus. In him is peace, hope, love, and everlasting life. On the contrary, when we lean on ourselves, the end result is always misery, shame, guilt, and regret.
God recorded these beautiful verses through King Solomon to give us true freedom in him.
God will lead our lives a million times better so long as we depend on him through the gospel.
In all ways we are to acknowledge him. We must trust beyond understanding. Next time you feel unsure or overwhelmed, remember these verses.
Pray and ask Him for guidance, and be open to the direction He provides. Most importantly, move as if he has already blessed you.
Do not doubt nor hesitate but trust that His plan for you is good, even if it differs from your own understanding. Amen!
