    Romans 4:2-6

For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

The Bible describes Abraham as the Father of Faith. In our journey of faith, we often wrestle with the concept of Grace vs Works. We live in a world that measures worth by accomplishments and deeds. Yet, Paul in Romans, highlights that our righteousness is a gift from God, received through faith, not earned by works.

Abrahams ighteousness came from believing in God's promises, not from fulfilling the law or performing good deeds.

Verses 4 and 5 tell us that when we work, our wages are an obligation, something owed to us.

However, righteousness is not something we can earn; it is a gracious gift from God.

If it were based on our works, it would no longer be a gift but a debt. But God's grace operates differently: "to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness".

Amen! God explains what true blessing is through David.

True blessing is knowing that we are forgiven and accepted by God, not because of what we have done, but because of what He has done for us through Jesus Christ.

These verses are so touching, I would like to end it with a prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. We can truly rest in Your grace, knowing that we are justified not by our works, but by our faith in You.

Please help us to extend this grace to others and to live lives that reflect Your love and mercy. We are truly nothing without your grace. We leave everything in your hands, and in Jesus' name, Amen!
