1 Samuel 2:6-9
6 The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
7 The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them.
9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
Everything is in God's control. All power, wealth, knowledge, and life belongs to God. He can kill and he can bring back to life. He breaks people down and also builds them back up.
There is truly nothing we can do for God, He has to do everything for us. Money, happiness, pleasure, and health all come and go. Only God and his word endureth forever.
Verse 8 tells us he raises us up out of dust. This means that while we were in our flesh, God lifted us out of it. Whille we were sitting on a pile of dung, begging for happiness, he lifted us out!
He placed us in a postion from sinner to righteous and that is why he says we are seated/placed among princes. By doing this, he gave us the throne of righteousness.
God almighty saved us from the pit of hell.
God even does the final job of keeping us faithful. He directs the path in our lives and calls us saints. We are no longer sinners, beggars, or poor, but SAINTS! Amen?! Nothing can prevail over us, not hardship, stress, anxiety, Satan, or darkness. Amazing, Hosanna! Our wonderful GOD!!!!!
